The study has three results about Computer-aided-Display-Design System of Museum as follows.
1. What is Computer-aided-Display-Design System of Museum?
This is a procedual system in order to search the optimum display method meeting conditions given by display purposes and inform us of technical data of the method. The computer works as searching tool, database of technical data and tool for graphic presentation in this system.
2. How can display space organization be described?
Generally speaking, display space in museum is articulated as plural zones. Materials for display are allocated the zones according to the character. Any descriptive model of both space organization and material relation is needed to enable the allocation by computer. Here is proposed a promising model using chain of sign which expresses each zone. The chain includes some sign giving unique inter-relation of plural zones.
3. How can cubic space or zone for display on one picture of CRT be expressed?
There are many ways to express multi-dimensional data. But the way using fish-eye camera is the best to maintain the useful and essential attributes as picture. We pursue one way of calculating from fish-eye picture, how annoying display space is. The grade of annoying is hypothesized proportional to level of unevenness of space surface.
