Since archaeological materials found in Kyoto are extremely vast in quantity, the scholars including the author of this paper, in spite of virtual examination as a whole, have scarcely examined the specific characteristics of each site which are essential for reconstructing the spatial structure of the site.\nThis paper gives attention to the above point, and aims to clarify what is found when and where, in terms of medieval structural foundations and remains in Kyoto, and to verify their meanings to Kyoto as a whole. For that purpose, the author in the first chapter takes up hajiki plates generally called “kawarake” of Kyoto type, and by considering their circulation he tries to reconstruct the fringe of strong influencing power that medieval Kyoto possessed. In the second chapter, the author spotlights Sanjo and southward and examines the meaning of roles which various sites of the urban community preformed from the standpoint of the spatial structure.\nIn the first chapter, the background of circulation of kawarake bowls beside hajiki plates to western Japan is tried to be explained with the relation between Iwashimizu-Hachimangu and Usagu-Mirokuji, and the background of hajiki plates of Kyoto type which were spread in the early medieval ages to eastern Japan is considerd with Hie-Sannogu and Hakusansha. In the second chapter, the research sites around the present Kyoto station are minutely analyzed, and Shichijo area is re-evaluated with the background of samurai families, Hachijo-Nyoin and Toji (East Temple) that were in the center of politics then. And the strong influence of Tofukuji can be seen from the distribution of stone pans frequently found in southern Kyoto.\nThis paper tries to consider various aspects of medieval Kyoto from an archaeological point of view; for that purpose, it focuses on lower Kyoto, and its characteristics are relieved in the relation with other districts. As a result, it makes us recognize the religious side which united Kyoto and other districts, or an important role played by temples and shrines. In the future, the urban structure and charactristics of the whole town including upper Kyoto will be considered from the same standpoint.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_description_6":{"attribute_name":"内容記述","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"一部非公開情報あり","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10002_heading_23":{"attribute_name":"見出し","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"古代・中世の都市をめぐる流通と消費/[共同研究] 日本における都市生活史の研究 A班第一期","subitem_heading_language":"ja"},{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"Distribution and Consumption in Ancient and Medieval Urban Life / [Collaborative Research] Studies in the Urban History in Japan.
