Edo-zu-byôbu represents the Edo town in 17th century.\nWe describe a short history of those studies. And, some examples show that they study the Edo-zu-byôbu by means of expanding its photo-images.\nThen, there are tree steps to apply digital images: Webpages of Edo-zu-byôbu, an experiment of image processing to build database of men in the pictures, and the free viewing system for research and exhibition of Japanese historical pictures.
