 note = {application/pdf, 筆者は，博物館におけるレプリカの意味について既に考察しているが，本稿では，歴史展示における模型の意味について考察した。歴史を展示する方法には，現存する過去の遺品を展示する方向と，展示テーマに沿って過去の情景を再現しようとする方向の2つがあり，模型は特に後者においてしばしば用いられるが，過去の再現としては不可避的に不完全なものであり，原理的にはそこから直接歴史を学ぶことは出来ない。しかし，実際の歴史，ないし現存する遺跡・遺物などへリンクするための，総合的・立体的な索引ないし入り口として考えれば，資料から歴史像を構成するという展示の本来的役割を促進させる意味で，その正当性を確保しうる。それは現実の歴史に対して歴史展示自体が持つ意味でもある。既存の模型を活用する実例，すなわち，復元模型の意味を，固定されたイメージ＝「結論」ではなく，さまざまな情報へと開かれた「入り口」（索引）として読み直す試みとして，当館における「京都の町並み」模型にデジタルコンテンツを付加した事例を紹介した。またそこでは，模型の全体像を認識することの困難さという，作り手と受け手（観客）のギャップの問題についても考察することができた。, Recently, I have already analyzed the meanings of replicas in museums, but in this paper, I will focus on the meaning of dioramas in history exhibits. There are two types of history exhibits; first, exhibits display the artifacts of the past left today, and second, they reproduce a scene of the past following the exhibit theme. Dioramas are often used in the second type of history exhibits. However, reproduction of the past cannot be perfect and, in principle, people cannot learn history directly from such exhibits. Nevertheless, if we use dioramas as summative and three-dimensional indexes, or as introduction to history and remains and relics, their uses are justifiable as they promote the basic role of exhibits which is construction of historical images from materials. In this paper, I referred to a practice in Rekihaku exhibit, where digital-contents were added to a diorama of “City Life of Medieval Kyoto”. In this practice, dioramas were defined not as providers of stable images = conclusions, but rather, as an entrance (or an index) to various historical information. I also examined the difficulties of understanding the entire dioramas, which I realised the wide gap between museum staff and visitors.},
