Focusing on this aspect, this paper attempts to advance an explanation by applying a model to regions throughout the Japanese archipelago based on an analysis of the establishment of, and changes to, inhabited zone distribution patterns in the Kinki region.\nAn analysis of distribution patterns revealed the following types: Type A1 ― formed by a number of compound-type settlements within an area of approximately 10 square kilometers; Type A2 ― a single settlement; and Type B ― a distribution of only small and medium-sized settlements. Type B was the main type in central Kinki during Early Yayoi, and while by Middle Yayoi many A1-type settlements were found in the lowlands, Type B predominated in regions with developed hilly and terraced terrain. Type A2 settlements also existed in the lowlands. In other words, by Middle Yayoi there were large differences in settlement distribution patterns caused by topographical conditions and other factors. The formation of many hierarchical square moated burial precincts of the kind typically found near Lake Kawachi developed in regions with a pattern of polynuclear settlements similar to the A1 pattern. The formation of many compound-type settlements is not connected to a simple hierarchical pattern centered on large-scale settlements. Subregional differences in settlement distribution had been eliminated by Late Yayoi, as on the whole the distribution of communities had become standardized. This settlement pattern with minimal regionality had become common by the Kofun period, and it is likely that during the Yayoi period gradual changes were underway to a Kofun period type of settlement pattern.\nThis sort of diversity in settlement distribution patterns in the Kinki region naturally explains the differences in the conditions and periods of the formation of compound-type settlements in lowlands across the Japanese archipelago. Clearly identified settlement patterns noticeable for polynuclear combinations of medium-sized and small groups in Middle Yayoi are found only in northern Kyushu and in central Kinki. Basically, there were also huge differences in circumstances between regions that made the transition from the simple A2 distribution pattern to Kofun society and those that changed from a polynuclear society to Kofun society.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_heading_23":{"attribute_name":"見出し","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"[共同研究] 縄文・弥生集落遺跡の集成的研究","subitem_heading_language":"ja"},{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"[Collaborative Research] The Corpus Research about the Settlement in Jomon and Yayoi Period","subitem_heading_language":"en"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15024/00001672","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立歴史民俗博物館","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_relation_17":{"attribute_name":"関連サイト","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"第149集 収録論文 タイトルリスト"}],"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"https://www.rekihaku.ac.jp/outline/publication/ronbun/ronbun6/index.html#no149","subitem_relation_type_select":"URI"}}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00377607","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0286-7400","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"若林, 邦彦","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"ワカバヤシ, クニヒコ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Wakabayashi, Kunihiko","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2016-04-01"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"kenkyuhokoku_149_02.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"2.4 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"kenkyuhokoku_149_02.pdf","url":"https://rekihaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/1689/files/kenkyuhokoku_149_02.pdf"},"version_id":"71a2a114-988d-485f-9d0e-2dfd9155dc72"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"弥生集落","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"複合型集落","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"分布パターン","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"ヒエラルキー","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"大阪平野","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Yayoi settlements","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"compound-type settlement","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"distribution pattern","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"hierarchy","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Osaka plain","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"集落分布パターンの変遷からみた弥生社会(論考編1 弥生時代の集落論)","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"集落分布パターンの変遷からみた弥生社会(論考編1 弥生時代の集落論)","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"Yayoi Society as seen from Changes in Settlement Distribution Patterns (Research Papers I The Settlement Theory of the Yayoi Period)","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"3","path":["175"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2016-04-01"},"publish_date":"2016-04-01","publish_status":"0","recid":"1689","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["集落分布パターンの変遷からみた弥生社会(論考編1 弥生時代の集落論)"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-08-14T00:50:39.656394+00:00"}
