Next in importance is the moat, which differentiates the inside and its place of worship from the outside. This paper examines this latter aspect.\nMoated settlements in low-lying areas include those where the moat is connected to a river, as well as water-filled moats that symbolized rivers. A moat was a symbol of demarcation representing a boundary. Intertwined with this in ceremonial and ritual spaces in these drawings is the depiction, as borne out by the landscape formation, of hekija (imaginary beasts that warded off evil) as intended iconography and physical techniques. The landscapes of Yayoi settlements were formed with underlying \"ritualistic practices\" that were uniform conventions in such ceremonies and rituals.\nThe symbolic significance of the moat as a boundary is homologous with the significance of the burial of dotaku (bronze bells), pictures and patterns. All serve the same function as hekija. Dotaku were buried on the boundary, the sawtooth-like pattern itself is also a symbol of the hekija, and was also used as a pattern for shrine decoration. The saw-tooth pattern was later used to decorate palisade-shaped haniwa in the Kofun period as a symbol of the boundary between the sacred and profane as distinct from a place of worship. The formation of landscapes centered on places identified as places of worship in Yayoi settlements changed in the Kofun period when they became discrete from ordinary settlements, although the underlying ritualistic significance and ritualistic practice continued, albeit in a modified form.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_heading_23":{"attribute_name":"見出し","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"[共同研究] 縄文・弥生集落遺跡の集成的研究","subitem_heading_language":"ja"},{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"[Collaborative Research] The Corpus Research about the Settlement in Jomon and Yayoi Period","subitem_heading_language":"en"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15024/00001674","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立歴史民俗博物館","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_relation_17":{"attribute_name":"関連サイト","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"第149集 収録論文 タイトルリスト"}],"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"https://www.rekihaku.ac.jp/outline/publication/ronbun/ronbun6/index.html#no149","subitem_relation_type_select":"URI"}}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00377607","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0286-7400","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"小林, 青樹","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"コバヤシ, セイジ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kobayashi, Seiji","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2016-04-01"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"kenkyuhokoku_149_04.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"4.3 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"kenkyuhokoku_149_04.pdf","url":"https://rekihaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/1691/files/kenkyuhokoku_149_04.pdf"},"version_id":"22920974-9c6f-4899-94ed-276af2881e76"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"弥生集落","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"祭祀機能","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"景観形成","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"祭殿","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"環濠","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"辟邪","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"銅鐸","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"柵形埴輪","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"The Yayoi Settlement","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Ritual Function","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Landscape Formation","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"the Bronze Bell","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"弥生集落の祭祀機能と景観形成(論考編1 弥生時代の集落論)","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"弥生集落の祭祀機能と景観形成(論考編1 弥生時代の集落論)","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"The Ritual Function and Landscape Formation with Yayoi Settlement (Research Papers I The Settlement Theory of the Yayoi Period)","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"3","path":["175"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2016-04-01"},"publish_date":"2016-04-01","publish_status":"0","recid":"1691","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["弥生集落の祭祀機能と景観形成(論考編1 弥生時代の集落論)"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-08-14T00:54:18.063235+00:00"}
