To date, based on swampy sites where both large and minute fossils were preserved in good condition, paleo-environmental transition and paleo-environmental restoration have often been discussed. In the recent excavations and investigations, however, detailed natural scientific analyses and improvement of their measurement accuracy have led to the finding of data, at the sites on the plateaus, implying that there were environmental variations and transition. Here, for the stratigraphy of the site on the Tachikawa loam continuously observed in the investigation of the sites on the Musashino Daichi, the heavy mineral assemblage and the occurrence of volcanic glass are analyzed to identify the horizon in the Early Jomon period, and the terrain environment is analyzed.
