Biosphere Reserves under UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme, for example, are intended to balance conservation with development, by classifying core, buffer and transition areas, depending on the level of protection. Such balance is difficult to achieve, however, particularly in tropical forests, most of which are located in developing countries. This article studies the effects of protected areas on conservation of the natural environment as well as on the livelihoods of local residents in Costa Rica. After a massive loss of its forest mainly due to agricultural development through to the late 20th Century, Costa Rica amended its Forest Law to introduce both prohibition of natural forest clearing and direct benefits in the form of environmental service payments to land owners who conserve their forests. This policy has managed to bring about an upturn in forest cover trends in Costa Rica. Policy on protected areas was initiated in the 1950s in Costa Rica and its scope expanded to the current status whereby over a quarter of the national land territory is officially protected. One byproduct of this process, however, has on the one hand been conflict with local residents with regards to protected areas. On the other hand, the category of protected areas called \"Biological Corridors\" resembling the Biosphere Reserves with buffer and transition areas have demonstrated their buffer effects not only on conservation but also on livelihood strategies of local residents.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_heading_23":{"attribute_name":"見出し","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"[共同研究] 保護地域制度が周辺地域の生業変化や資源化に及ぼす影響 : 持続可能な地域発展における規制のあり方","subitem_heading_language":"ja"},{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"[Collaborative Research] Impact of Protected Area Management System on Livelihood Change and Resource Exploitation in Surrounding Areas : Towards Effective Regulation for Sustainable Regional Development","subitem_heading_language":"en"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立歴史民俗博物館","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_relation_17":{"attribute_name":"関連サイト","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"第215集 収録論文 タイトルリスト"}],"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"https://www.rekihaku.ac.jp/outline/publication/ronbun/ronbun9/index.html#no215","subitem_relation_type_select":"URI"}}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00377607","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0286-7400","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"北村, 健二","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"キタムラ, ケンジ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kitamura, Kenji","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-03-31"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"kenkyuhokoku_215_03.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.1 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"kenkyuhokoku_215_03.pdf","url":"https://rekihaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2461/files/kenkyuhokoku_215_03.pdf"},"version_id":"73b8cb42-355c-4606-9b79-c2e4ccbbae81"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"保護地域","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"森林","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"地域住民","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"生業","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"コスタリカ","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"protected areas","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"forest","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"local residents","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"livelihood","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Costa Rica","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"[論文] 民有地の森林保護区が環境保全と生業に及ぼす影響 : コスタリカの事例から","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"[論文] 民有地の森林保護区が環境保全と生業に及ぼす影響 : コスタリカの事例から","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"[Article] Effects of Forest Reserves on Non-Government Property on Conservation and Livelihoods : A Case from Costa Rica","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"3","path":["240"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2020-03-31"},"publish_date":"2020-03-31","publish_status":"0","recid":"2461","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["[論文] 民有地の森林保護区が環境保全と生業に及ぼす影響 : コスタリカの事例から"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-07-28T00:39:10.137771+00:00"}
