As a rakugo performer, Irifune Senzō naturally had an interest in storytelling, and in Japanese society in the 19th Century it was common to have a diverse range of musical performances held in the same yose (entertainment halls) and tatami rooms as rakugo performances. Morokuzu is an important historical document for understanding society in this regard. Thus, in this paper I will consider the ichimaizuri contained in Morokuzu from four perspectives related to Edo music culture.\nThe first perspective is that of the relationship between music and the red light district. The ichimaizuri in Morokuzu would have provided insight into the latest information about contemporary music that came from teahouses in the Yoshiwara and Ryōgoku districts, in addition to other forms of amusement. In these ichimaizuri, music is a secondary form of play as well as a nurturing factor in people's livelihoods; the images show how broadly music permeated society as a form of culture.\nThe second perspective is the relationship between music and the culture surrounding skill training. In schools of a given art form with an iemoto system (having one person at the head of a school), the iemoto or his apprentice would hold nabirome-kai ceremonies when the title was passed on or on the anniversary of someone’s death, and Morokuzu contains images of these ceremonies as well. Outside of cases deemed necessary for geidō (the artistic “ways”), gaudy ichimaizuri depicting nabirome-kai and their distribution by intermediaries were targets of regulation by the magistrate’s office. In contrast to this, however, and perhaps as a reflection of Senzō’s own identity as a performer, many of the ichimaizuri in Morokuzu are based on geidō.\nThe third perspective is music as an art form in yose. There are multiple images depicting the villa of a yose called “Hiromoto.” It is thought that perhaps Senzō went there often or lived nearby. The fourth perspective is the relationship between music and publishing culture. From the ichimaizuri in Morokuzu, we can see how “selling” in contemporary publishing culture involved a number of businesses bound together with intertwined development. This is seen in how shops that printed and sold visual materials carried “medicine for the voice” (koe no okusuri) in addition to training books.\nIn conclusion, Morokuzu is a powerful clue in understanding Edo music culture, and, conversely, music culture could also be key when identifying the unique features of Morokuzu.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_heading_23":{"attribute_name":"見出し","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"[共同研究] 近世の一枚摺文化の受容と都市社会の研究","subitem_heading_language":"ja"},{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"[Collaborative Research] Urban Society and the Reception of Early Modern Ichimaizuri Culture","subitem_heading_language":"en"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立歴史民俗博物館","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_relation_17":{"attribute_name":"関連サイト","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"第222集 収録論文 タイトルリスト"}],"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"https://www.rekihaku.ac.jp/outline/publication/ronbun/ronbun9/index.html#no222","subitem_relation_type_select":"URI"}}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00377607","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0286-7400","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"神田, 由築","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"カンダ, ユツキ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kanda, Yutsuki","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2022-04-01"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"kenkyuhokoku_222_08.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.9 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"kenkyuhokoku_222_08.pdf","url":"https://rekihaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2784/files/kenkyuhokoku_222_08.pdf"},"version_id":"e2b1277d-fad7-4e17-82c5-b30f7c6af6d7"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"音曲","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"遊里","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"稽古文化","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"寄席","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"一枚摺","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Music","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"red light district","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"skill training culture","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"yose","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"ichimaizuri","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"[論文] 江戸の音曲文化","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"[論文] 江戸の音曲文化","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"[Article] Music Culture of Edo","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"3","path":["251"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2022-04-01"},"publish_date":"2022-04-01","publish_status":"0","recid":"2784","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["[論文] 江戸の音曲文化"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-08-15T07:31:40.075507+00:00"}
