The fieldwork based on this paper was conducted 1982. In this paper, we analyse family structure and ancestor worship of two village communities in Misugi village, Mie prefecture. In this two villages, there are not inkyo-family system (residential separation system in a family), but as noteworthry family system there are special family partition system so called inkyo-bunke. Inkyo-bunke is a special form family partition system. In case of inkyo-bunke, at the time of partion, not only noninheritant children, but also his parents (or parent) leaves main family, and go to new branch family. In these cases ancestor worship of this parents is practiced in some different form than another forms of branch family. The main problem of this paper is the analysis of ancestor worship, especially ihai (memorial tablet) cult in these families. The forms of ihai cult in this village is divided to four forms. The first is ordinary type of ihai cult. In this case, ihai of familyhead and his wife of each previous generation is warshipped in same family. The second is form that ihai of some familyheads and his wives is worshipped in main family (honke) and branch family (bunke). Especially ihai of the parents of the first familyhead and his wife of branch family is worshipped in both family. The third form is that the ihai of father and mother is worshipped separately in main family and branch family. This form of ihai cult is practiced in the case of inkyobunke.
