Investigations of the remains of kilns, including those of the Suemura (陶邑) group, have provided a lot of information for the study of Sueki ware, but no consideration has been given to where the people who produced it lived, or what kind of lives they led. Investigations in recent years have been extended to the sites of settlements in the environs of Suemura, and these have come to be discussed as the settlements of craftsmen. However, this discussion did not develop very far, as the settlements were not definitely identified as being the settlements of craftsmen.\nThe present paper traces the stage that has been reached in research into the craftmen's settlements, and ascertains that the sites that are called craftmen's settlements were connected in a variety of ways with the production of Sueki ware, and that a variety of studies still need to be carried out linking the kilns with the settlements and the workshops.\nAt the stage when Sueki ware first appears in Japan, production of it had already begun in various parts of the country, and the peculiar features of each area show clearly the different genealogies: the Obadera kiln coming from Eastern Kyongsang-Namdo, the Asakura group of kilns from Western Kyongsang-Namdo, and the Suemura group of kilns from Western Kyongsang-Namdo to Cholla-Namdo. We may say that these craftsmen crossed over to Japan as part of the interchange including fighting, on the Korean peninsular, and that the production of Sueki ware had a pluralistic start under the various local chiefs. However in Suemura, which was close to the central government, as soon as production started craftsmen were brought over to Japan from the area centered on Cholla-Namdo; Japanese Sueki ware was perfected, and both the finished goods and the technique were apparently transmitted throughout the country by the central government. Contacts between Japan and Cholla-Namdo may also be gathered from Sueki ware excavated on the Korean peninsular, and from imitation Sueki ware bearing a close resemblance to the Sueki ware made on the Korean peninsular.\nAs for the period when Sueki ware first began to be made, judging from the Shiragi-type elements that can be seen in products from the Obadera kiln this would be around the time when Shiragi invaded the Pusan area on the Korean peninsular and the earthenware of that area began to be influenced by Shiragi: perhaps from the 420's to around 430.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15024/00000684","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立歴史民俗博物館","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_relation_17":{"attribute_name":"関連サイト","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"第57集 収録論文 タイトルリスト"}],"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"https://www.rekihaku.ac.jp/outline/publication/ronbun/ronbun3/index.html#no57","subitem_relation_type_select":"URI"}}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00377607","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0286-7400","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"酒井, 清治","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"サカイ, キヨジ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sakai, Kiyoji","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2016-04-01"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"kenkyuhokoku_057_08.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"3.0 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"kenkyuhokoku_057_08.pdf","url":"https://rekihaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/701/files/kenkyuhokoku_057_08.pdf"},"version_id":"1ab433e9-bf99-4d64-acb8-64c97edd51af"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"わが国における須恵器生産の開始について","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"わが国における須恵器生産の開始について","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"On the Start of Production of Sueki Ware in Japan","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"3","path":["89"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2016-04-01"},"publish_date":"2016-04-01","publish_status":"0","recid":"701","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["わが国における須恵器生産の開始について"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-08-14T04:43:56.335823+00:00"}
