I have referred to the major works, such as drawings, which described the Japanese architecture in detail; picture scrolls, pictures of the precinct of a temple and a shrine and the folding screens entitled “Picture of urban towns”, and I have considered the importance of the drawings as historical materials. Further, I have mentioned how they understood the architecture and how they tried to show them in their drawings.},
