The emphasis here is on the ritual behavior and incantations to which the inhabitants had resort when they had no control to dangers like natural disasters and epidemics.\nAs examples of such behavior, the present paper discusses performing for rain, and getting rid of the worms which were thought to be in child-bodies and cause convulsions, and of smallpox.\nRecords exist for each of these phenomena, and through them, we can generally see that the domain lord firstly prayed for rain, and after that, the villagers acted a rain-making ceremony as like as in the neighboring villages. The ceremony included a Kagura (a kind of dance mimicking lions) done by members of Young Men's Association (Wakamonogumi), and worships to local shrines and temples.\nIn Meiji Period, needing a new focus to replace the domain lord, the villagers regarded the flag of Rising Sun (Hinomaru) as a symbol of their unity. And following this change, by adding new subjects derived from legends, the Kagura was greatly altered, as were the other ceremonies: some time, similar tendencies can be found in Tokugawa period, but not nearly to the extent. And it would be adequate to think that the movements intended to appropriate to the modernized Japan and also to make them more entertaining.\nSpells against worms and smallpox were performed at one of the temples and were so highly regarded that people from elsewhere would also attended. However, when smallpox really prevailed in the village, these temple ceremonies were not done, but the Kagura and special incantations were adopted.\nIt can be seen through Meiji Period, whenever they wished to avert natural disasters or sickness, the Kagura continuously took place as a central role in the rituals, although the characteristics had significantly changed.\nIn these facts, the Kagura should be recognized to function as a role in lasting the traditional social system of the village, and could supply important views to study village rituals.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_heading_23":{"attribute_name":"見出し","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"日本の農耕文化の諸問題Ⅱ","subitem_heading_language":"ja"},{"subitem_heading_banner_headline":"Studies on Farming Culture II","subitem_heading_language":"en"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15024/00000801","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立歴史民俗博物館","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_relation_17":{"attribute_name":"関連サイト","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"第70集 収録論文 タイトルリスト"}],"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"https://www.rekihaku.ac.jp/outline/publication/ronbun/ronbun3/index.html#no70","subitem_relation_type_select":"URI"}}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00377607","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0286-7400","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"山本, 光正","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"ヤマモト, ミツマサ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yamamoto, Mitsumasa","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2016-04-01"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"kenkyuhokoku_070_13.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"2.0 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"kenkyuhokoku_070_13.pdf","url":"https://rekihaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/818/files/kenkyuhokoku_070_13.pdf"},"version_id":"d104e04f-8934-4251-a81d-61c02059937c"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"上総国望陀郡大谷村における加持・祈祷 : 雨乞・虫加持・疱瘡加持を中心に(日本の農耕文化の諸問題Ⅱ)","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"上総国望陀郡大谷村における加持・祈祷 : 雨乞・虫加持・疱瘡加持を中心に(日本の農耕文化の諸問題Ⅱ)","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"Ritual Ceremonies in Oyatu Village, Mouda County, Kazusa Province : Focusing on Performing for Rain and Prevention Insects and Smallpox (Studies on Farming Culture II)","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"3","path":["101"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2016-04-01"},"publish_date":"2016-04-01","publish_status":"0","recid":"818","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["上総国望陀郡大谷村における加持・祈祷 : 雨乞・虫加持・疱瘡加持を中心に(日本の農耕文化の諸問題Ⅱ)"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-08-18T07:32:04.953659+00:00"}
