We first applied this for Jomon pottery. Alkali feldspar contained in pottery sherd is rich in lead, and was extracted by the dense media separation method.\nA total of 39 Jomon potteries excavated on Kyushu and Nansei-shoto islands, Japan, were measured. Although the result did not show the correlation with pottery type, loose correlation was seen between excavation kilns.
