| 内容記述 | 安芸国の一宮である厳島神社（内宮および外宮）は，それぞれの大宮本殿内に六基，客人宮本殿内に五基の玉殿（神体を奉安する小建築）を安置している。その安置は全国的にも極めて早い仁安三年（1168）にまで遡る。また安芸国の主要な神社本殿内を調査した結果，中世玉殿が多く残っており，厳島神社の玉殿は，安芸国の神社本殿における玉殿安置に大きな影響を与えたものと考えられる。 本稿では，まず，厳島神社本殿内のものでは現存最古となる宝暦十年（1760）再造の外宮である地御前神社（広島県廿日市市地御前）の玉殿について詳細な実地調査を行って，外宮玉殿についてその特色について考察し，その内宮である厳島神社（広島県廿日市市宮島町）の玉殿の形式を忠実に継承してきたことを示す。 次に，厳島神社の玉殿の規模形式および各部材の細部意匠や寸法などについて，永禄十二年（1569）の「造営材木注文」および嘉禎三年（1237）の「造伊都岐島社内宮御玉殿荘厳調度用途等注進状案」等に古図二葉を加えた，厳島神社の文献史料に基づいて詳細に検討を行い，外宮玉殿についての学術実地調査の成果を踏まえた上で，仁治二年（1241）本殿再建時の内宮玉殿の復元案を提示する。 また，切妻造で見世棚としないことや角柱の使用および床高の低さなど，復元した玉殿に見られる建築的特質について述べ，厳島神社の玉殿は，安芸国の玉殿の普及，発展，変化に大きく関わりがあったことを明らかとし，安芸国における玉殿の起源であったことを示す。 |

| 内容記述 | Itsukushima Shrine, which is the ichinomiya for Aid Province, is composed of Naigu and Gegu. The Naigu (now called Itsukushima Jinja) and Gegu (now called Jigozen Jinja) each have Omiya main building and Marodo main building. Both of the Omiya main building have six inner sanctuaries and both of the Marodo main building have five inner sanctuaries respectively. Inner sanctuaries are small buildings that house sacred items which are representations of deities. The placement of inner sanctuaries in Itsukushima Shrine began extremely early and dates back to 1168. The research on the inside of the main building of major shrines in Aid Province shows that many still have inner sanctuaries dating from the medieval period. It is conceivable, therefore, that the inner sanctuaries of Itsukushima Shrine had a significant influence on the installation of inner sanctuaries in AKi Province. This paper, based on firsthand study, discusses the features of the inner sanctuary of Gegu (Jigozen Jinja) , which is the oldest extant example of Itukushima Shrine, rebuilt in 1760. The study proves that the inner sanctuary of Gegu was faithfully modeled on the style of inner sanctuary of Naigu (the current Itukushima Jinja). Next, the paper makes a detailed examination of the size, style and design of the Itukushima Shrine's inner sanctuary from the old documents of Itukushima Shrine; mainly using the one of 1237, another of 1569 and two others of medieval times. Taking into account the results of the field investigation of Gegu's inner sanctuary, the diagram of the inner sanctuary of Naigu, when the main building was rebuilt in 1241, is demonstrated. The paper also discusses the architectural features of the restored inner sanctuary, such as the adoption of the kirizuma-style roof, the removing of misedana from the facade, the use of squared pillars, and the low height of the floor. This research shows that the inner sanctuaries of Itukushima Shrine are closely associated with the spread, development and changes of inner sanctuaries in Aki Province and were the original model for the inner sanctuaries in this province. |
