| 内容記述 | 北上川遊水地ならびに国道４号線バイパスの工事にともなう平泉柳之御所跡遺跡の発掘・調査は，「北方の王者」藤原秀衡のくらしぶりを甦らせる遺構・遺物の一端を検出することによって，学界内外に大きな反響を呼び起こした。遺跡の保存・整備をもとめる世論の高まりを作り出した。そればかりではない。保存運動のとりくみのなかで，数多くの研究発表がなされ，シンポジウムがくりかえされるなどのことがあった。そして，研究の飛躍的な発展がもたらされることがあった。 遺跡の保存が決定されて，運動が一段落をみることになった現在，この辺りで，百花斉放・百家争鳴ともいうべき研究の状況を整理しておくに越したことはない。今後の展望を明らかにするためにも，それが必要である。そのような整理の作業の一例を，小論において試みることにしたい。 そのさいに，取り上げるべきポイントは少なくない。だが，紙数には限りがある。ここでは，若干のポイントに絞って，作業を進めることにならざるをえない。堀の内・外の居住者をめぐって／平泉館・加羅御所・無量光院の３点セット／都市平泉の鎮守をめぐって，などのポイントがそれである。 |

| 内容記述 | This paper concerns excavation and research of the Hiraizumi-Yanagi Palace Site, which has been implemented along with construction work on the Kitakami River Reservoir and National Highway-4 Bypass. Structural remains and artifacts from this site have shed light on the lifestyle of Hidehira Fujiwara, the so-called ‘King of the North Country’, and have generated great interest both inside and outside of academic circles. In addition, a strong public sentiment favoring preservation and restoration of this site has appeared. As part of the movement to preserve this site, numerous symposiums and academic meetings have been held, and research has been proceeding at a fast pace. Currently, it has been officially decided that the site will be preserved, and the protest movement has quieted down accordingly. This is thus a good time to begin summarizing and analyzing the research results to date. Such a task is also vital for determining future directions as well. This research is designed as one attempt to contribute to this effort. In summarizing and analyzing, there are numerous important aspects of the research which should be considered. As space here is limited, however, this paper focuses on the following three major points : * Residences inside and outside the moat * The Hiraizumi Structure, the Kara Palace and Muryokoin Temple * The Shinto guardian deity of the Hiraizumi urban area |
